Border battles Level 1

After the first depot is captured, the player suffers heavy losses.

The first primary objective is to capture an outpost; first secondary is to repel all ambushes. Keep in mind that ambushes will come from all directions, so it is recommended that you leave some units at your depot, otherwise the depot will be captured, resulting in the mission ending.

When the first outpost is captured, survivors will emerge. they are similar to the red army squad; The player will recieve the primary objective to capture all outposts; another secondary, keep survivors alive also emerges.

Tactics:

Be as careful as possible. Don’t move your units aggressively and make sure you don’t ever overextend the reach of your supply truck. Think about every move before you make it, and place your tanks in forests and cities whenever possible to better protect them. There will be four ambushes, the first is in the forest to the right of your starting supply depot. When you move into the forest, fortify your tanks and keep your infantry behind them. There should be an MG nest right outside the forest so don’t lead with your infantry. If you play it safe and careful, you shouldn’t lose any tanks in this first ambush. It is essential not to lose your tanks in this mission; they are the backbone of your army and you will not receive more tanks as reinforcements. After defeating the first ambush, there should only be light resistance before you get to the first depot. It shouldn’t be tough to take the depot as long as you aren’t too aggressive. After capturing it, fortify your units, as the Germans will launch a powerful counterattack (ambush) to try and destroy the depot. This attack will be tough to defeat; the depot will already be on low health when you capture it so it will be easier to destroy. You will receive survivors when you capture the depot and get a quest to keep all of them alive. If you use them like regular infantry units, (which I highly recommend because every gun counts) the survivors will take a beating and one will die very quickly. The attack will consist of multiple Panzer IVs and IIIs, along with plenty of infantry units. Fight them off by targeting the tanks first using AT infantry mortars and your own tanks. Don’t lose your tanks, they are essential. After fighting off the attack, buy some infantry units from your depot to replace the ones that you lost in the attack. Anti-infantry car might be a wise purchase as well if the one you started with got destroyed as they make great scouting units. Use your supply truck to refill the health of all your units, and then move cautiously south of the depot. There should be some forests for you to fortify your tanks in, as well as a mountain range that will tempt you to place infantry on it. On the other side of the mountain lies the third German ambush. Trigger it by moving your anti-infantry down and then moving it back up again when you see German units. Make sure your troops are dug in and your supply truck if full and let them come. Target tanks to destroy enemy offensive capability. Then move on again, going slowly and carefully. There should be a Panzer IV on the bridge and a Tiger tank just on the other side. Fight carefully, and don’t follow the Tiger when it retreats into the forest, as it will lead you to the final German ambush. Just stay on the road to bypass the ambush completely and destroy the light defenses around the depot and capture it.
